Credits System
How credits work, what actions cost credits, purchasing packs, and usage tracking.
How Credits Work
Credits are the unit of consumption on Thrive. Every action that requires external API calls, AI model inference, or compute resources consumes a specific number of credits from your account. This model ensures pricing is transparent and directly correlated with the value you extract from the platform.
Your credit balance is always visible at the bottom of the sidebar. Click it to open the full credit usage dashboard with detailed transaction history, category breakdowns, daily burn rate, and projections for when your allocation will be exhausted at current usage patterns.
Monthly Allocations
Each plan tier includes a monthly credit allocation that resets on the first of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
| Free | 50 credits / month. Enough for approximately 25 signal views or a mix of light platform usage. |
| Pro | 2,000 credits / month. Supports daily signal viewing, regular screener queries, AI interpretations, and active journaling. |
| Pro+ | 5,000 credits / month. Covers heavy daily usage including AI deep research, Workbench queries, backtesting, and smart money analysis. |
| Founder | 5,000 credits / month. Same allocation as Pro+, replenished monthly for the lifetime of the account. |

Credit Cost Reference
The following table shows the credit cost for every action on the platform. Costs are calibrated so that a typical daily active trader on the Pro plan uses roughly 60-80% of their monthly allocation with normal usage.

| Python cell execution | 20 credits per execution. Covers server-side compute and library access. |
| Formula evaluation | 5 credits per formula run. Includes multi-asset batch evaluations. |
| Dashboard widget refresh | 2 credits per widget. Auto-refresh intervals consume credits on each cycle. |
Alerts and Backtesting
| Custom alert check | 1 credit per evaluation cycle. Alerts are evaluated on each data update. |
| Email notification | 1 credit per email sent. In-app notifications are free. |
| Alert backtest (simple) | 5 credits. Up to 2 conditions over a 30-day lookback. |

Signal Generation (Marketplace)
If you publish custom signals to the Signal Marketplace, generation costs vary based on the complexity of the underlying formula and the number of assets covered. Typical costs range from 10 credits for a single-asset formula signal to 100 credits for a multi-asset composite signal with AI enhancement.
Actions That Never Cost Credits
Many core platform interactions are always free, regardless of your plan tier. Credits are reserved for actions that require external API calls or compute.
Browsing pages, opening the sidebar, using the command bar, and general navigation.
Adding, removing, reordering, and configuring watchlist items and columns.
Viewing existing journal entries, tags, screenshots, and notes.
Reviewing P&L curves, win rates, drawdown charts, and performance summaries.
Viewing token unlocks, protocol milestones, and economic events.
All account configuration, display settings, and notification preferences.
Exporting trade history, performance data, and credit logs to CSV or JSON.
Receiving and viewing in-app notifications. Only email delivery costs credits.
Purchasing Credit Packs
When your monthly allocation runs out before the reset date, you can purchase credit packs. Purchased credits are added to a separate balance that never expires and is only consumed after your monthly allocation is fully depleted.
| Starter Pack | 500 credits for $29.99 ($0.060 per credit). Best for occasional top-ups when you run out near the end of the month. |
| Value Pack | 2,000 credits for $69.99 ($0.035 per credit). Equivalent to an extra month of Pro allocation at a 42% discount over Starter pricing. |
| Power Pack | 5,000 credits for $129.99 ($0.026 per credit). Best for heavy Workbench users and active researchers who consistently exceed their monthly allocation. |
| Thrive Pack | 25,000 credits for $499.99 ($0.020 per credit). The most cost-effective option. Designed for teams and power users who need a large reserve. |

Optimizing Credit Usage
The following strategies help you get the most value from your credit allocation without compromising your workflow.
The Signals page table view shows direction, confidence, and type at a glance for free. Only spend 2 credits to open signals that pass your initial screening.
At 200 credits, deep research should be used sparingly. Save it for assets where you are seriously considering a position.
Instead of running multiple small queries, consolidate your analysis into fewer, more comprehensive queries.
Restrict signal notifications to confidence 70+ to reduce the number of signals you open and investigate.
Watchlist monitoring, journal browsing, and performance review are all free. Use these to narrow your focus before spending credits.
If you buy credit packs every month, upgrading from Pro (2,000/mo) to Pro+ (5,000/mo) is more cost-effective.
