The Free tier is designed to let you explore the platform and understand the data quality before committing. With 50 credits per month, you can view approximately 25 signals, run a few screener queries, and explore the dashboard layout. It is intentionally limited to give you a taste of the platform without overwhelming you with data you cannot yet act on.

The Credit System
Thrive uses a credit-based system to meter access to features that have real infrastructure cost: API calls to upstream data providers, AI model inference, compute for backtesting, and data warehouse queries. This model ensures that pricing is fair and directly correlated with the value you extract from the platform.
How Credits Work
Every plan includes a monthly credit allocation that resets on the first of each month. When you perform a credit-consuming action, the cost is deducted from your monthly balance. If your monthly credits are exhausted, the system draws from your purchased credit balance (if any). If both are depleted, credit-consuming actions are blocked until the next monthly reset or until you purchase additional credits.
Your current credit balance is always visible in the sidebar at the bottom of the navigation. Click it to open the detailed credit usage dashboard showing your transaction history, usage by category, and remaining allocation.
What Costs Credits
Credit costs are calibrated so that a typical daily active trader on the Pro plan (2,000 credits/month) uses roughly 60-80% of their allocation with normal usage patterns. Here are the most common actions and their costs.

Purchasing Additional Credits
If you exhaust your monthly allocation before the reset date, you can purchase credit packs that are added to your purchased balance. Purchased credits never expire and are only consumed after your monthly allocation is depleted.

Larger packs offer significantly better per-credit pricing. The Thrive Pack at $0.02 per credit is 3x more cost-effective than the Starter Pack. If you find yourself regularly running out of credits, consider upgrading your plan tier first, as the monthly allocation is the most economical source of credits.
Credit consumption order
Billing and Plan Management
All billing is handled through Stripe. You can manage your subscription, update your payment method, view invoices, and switch plans from Settings → Subscription in the dashboard. Plan upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing for the remainder of the current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.
Cancellation is available at any time from the Settings page. When you cancel, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. No data is deleted upon cancellation; if you resubscribe later, your journal entries, dashboards, and settings will be exactly as you left them.
Choosing the Right Plan
If you are unsure which plan to choose, here is a practical framework.
Start with Free or Pro. You likely will not need the Workbench or smart money features.
Pro is the sweet spot. 2,000 credits covers heavy signal viewing, screener usage, and journaling.
Pro+ is the right choice. The Workbench, backtesting, and smart money data are essential for portfolio-level decisions.
The Founder Pass is the best value. One-time $999 for lifetime Pro+ saves thousands over a multi-year horizon.
