Settings & Preferences
Notification preferences, data export, display settings, and account management.
Settings Overview
The Settings page is the central hub for configuring your Thrive account. It is accessible from the sidebar or via the command bar (Cmd+K → "settings"). Settings are organized into six sections: General, Notifications, Display, Data Export, Subscription, and Account.
General Preferences
General preferences control the default behavior of data-driven features across the platform. Changes take effect immediately and are persisted to your account.
| Default Timeframe | Sets the default timeframe for charts, returns, and performance views. Options: 1H, 4H, 24H, 7D, 30D, 90D, 1Y. Default is 24H. |
| Base Currency | The fiat currency used for displaying prices, portfolio values, and P&L. Options: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD, CHF. Default is USD. |
| Default Asset View | Controls whether the asset detail page opens in compact or expanded layout. Compact shows price and z-scores above the fold; expanded shows all sections. |
| Screener Default Sort | The column and direction the asset screener sorts by when you first open it. Common choices: 24H Change descending, Composite Z-Score descending. |
| Time Zone | Sets the time zone for all timestamps, charts, and scheduled operations. Auto-detected from your browser by default, but can be overridden. |
Notification Settings
Notifications keep you informed about alerts, signals, and account events. Thrive supports three notification channels, each of which can be independently enabled or disabled.
Notification Channels
| In-App | Notifications appear in the notification bell icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard. Always available, no configuration required. Notifications persist until dismissed. |
| Formatted HTML emails sent to your account email address. Each email alert costs 1 credit. Includes direct links back to the relevant page in Thrive. | |
| Push (PWA) | Native push notifications via the installed Progressive Web App. Requires the PWA to be installed and notification permissions granted in your browser or OS settings. |
Notification Categories
You can enable or disable notifications per category. This prevents important alerts from being drowned out by informational updates.
Notifications when your custom composable alerts fire. This is the highest-priority category and is enabled by default on all channels.
Notifications when a new AI signal is generated for a watchlist asset. Configurable by minimum confidence threshold.
Notifications when a divergence reaches severe or critical severity on a watchlist asset.
Notifications for large transactions on watchlist assets. Pro+ only. Configurable by minimum transaction size.
Subscription renewals, payment confirmations, credit balance warnings, and plan changes. Always delivered via email.
New feature announcements, platform maintenance windows, and changelog summaries. Delivered via email, maximum once per week.

Display Settings
Display settings control the visual presentation of the platform. All display preferences are saved locally and also synced to your account for cross-device consistency.
| Theme | Thrive uses a dark theme by default, optimized for extended screen time during trading sessions. The dark theme is the only supported mode; it is purpose-built for financial data readability. |
| Density | Controls the spacing between UI elements. Options: Comfortable (default, more whitespace) and Compact (tighter spacing, more data per screen). Compact mode is preferred by power users on smaller screens. |
| Market Ticker | Toggle the scrolling market ticker at the top of the dashboard on or off. Disabled by default on mobile. Preference persists across sessions. |
| Sidebar Mode | Choose between Expanded (full labels, 220px) and Collapsed (icon-only, 60px). The sidebar remembers your last selection. |
| Number Format | Controls how large numbers are displayed. Options: Full (1,234,567.89), Abbreviated (1.23M), and Scientific (1.23e6). Default is Abbreviated. |
| Color Scheme | Affects how positive/negative values are colored. Options: Green/Red (default, Western convention) and Red/Green (Asian convention where red signals positive). |
Data Export
Thrive allows you to export your data in CSV and JSON formats for use in spreadsheets, tax reporting software, portfolio trackers, or your own analysis pipelines. Exports are generated on-demand and delivered as a downloadable file.
Exportable Data
Complete trade history with entry/exit prices, P&L, tags, notes, and linked signals. Supports date range filtering. Available in CSV and JSON.
Aggregated performance data including P&L curves, win rates, R-multiples, and drawdown series. CSV and JSON.
Every triggered alert with timestamp, conditions, and market context at trigger time. CSV and JSON.
Current watchlist with all visible column data as a point-in-time snapshot. CSV format.
Detailed log of every credit-consuming action with timestamps, action type, and credit cost. CSV format.

Team Management
Pro+ accounts can invite team members to share access to specific features. Team management is designed for trading firms, fund managers, and research teams that need collaborative access to the platform.
Send email invitations to team members. Each member gets their own login with personal settings, journal, and notification preferences.
Workbench dashboards can be shared with team members for collaborative monitoring. Shared dashboards use the owner account credits.
Two roles are available: Admin (full access, billing management, member invitations) and Member (feature access, no billing or member management).
Create shared watchlists visible to all team members in addition to personal watchlists.
Account Management
The Account section of Settings handles your profile information, security, and account lifecycle operations.
Profile
Update your display name, email address, and profile photo. Your email is used for billing, notifications, and password recovery. Changing your email requires verification of the new address.
Security
Thrive authentication is managed through Clerk. You can update your password, enable two-factor authentication (TOTP or SMS), and review active sessions. Clerk handles all credential storage, so Thrive never directly accesses your password.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is irreversible and removes all stored data: trade journal entries, alert configurations, watchlists, Workbench notebooks, exchange connections, and credit balances. Active subscriptions are cancelled immediately without a prorated refund for the current period. You will be asked to confirm deletion by typing your email address.
